Description

The most outstanding numismatic study of the coins of the Roman Empire, which was conducted on the basis of the British Museum. Different volumes were written by different specialists, and at different times, but all these books are united by high professionalism. The coins within the volumes are arranged by mints, within these sections in chronological order. Illustrative material is located at the end of the volumes, in special tables. The only drawback is that because of the large time gap, the last volumes are more up-to-date in terms of recent finds.

Vol. I. Augustus to Vitellius
Vol. II. Vespasian to Hadrian.
Vol. III. Antoninus Pius – Commodus.
Vol. IV. Pertinax – Uranius Antoninus. Three parts in 1 volume
Vol. V. Two volume set – Vol. V, part 1. Valerian – Florian; Vol. V, part 2. Probus – Amandus
Vol. VI. Diocletian – Maximinus
Vol. VII. Constantine – Licinius
Vol. VIII. Family of Constantine
Vol. IX. Valentinian – Theodosius I
Vol. X. Honorius and Arcadius – Romulus Augustus
